Composer and Musician
Since winning the BBC Young Composer of the Year in 1988 Nathan has had many commissions for new works, including two orchestral pieces, both performed on Radio 3 and BBC 2 by the Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He has also composed a piece to celebrate the Millennium performed at the Millennium Dome and numerous works in collaboration with local schools and orchestras. Nathan was awarded a Batchelor of Music Degree in 1996 at Birmingham Conservatoire and studied there until 1999, gaining a Post Graduate Diploma with Distinction. In May 2001 he was given an honorary Membership of Birmingham Conservatoire for his contribution to the Music profession. The Associate Diploma (ALCM) in Electronic Organ, and Grade 8 in Keyboard, Piano and Music Theory are also held by Nathan.
In January 2005 he became an examiner for the London College of Music, a prestigious position which he is very proud to have accepted.
Nathan is also a practising musician, playing bass guitar in the Retroflyers and also playing piano in Mood Indigo
We have over twelve teachers working at the music school and each of them come highly qualified and most are also performing musicians.
